It was recently 50 years since the 1st hip replacement was performed in Northern Ireland and next year will be the 50 year celebration of the Exeter hip replacement. The Exeter hip has been modified a few times since it was originally designed but the basic philosophy continues. It is still the most commonly used hip replacement in Australia and is used by all of the MHK team for some of their patients.
