Short Graft ACL reconstruction
Traditionally in Hamstring ACL reconstruction both the Semitendinosus and Gracilis tendons are harvested to create the new ACL graft. By using just 1 semitendinosus tendon you can still get a thicker and stronger graft with this technique while sparing the gracilis tendon. This may result in less weakness and pain and the potential for quicker recovery.
